quickbooks-connect-conference.jpgAt Keeping Your Balance, we put a huge emphasis on ongoing education and staying on top of all the latest accounting best practices, trends, and tools. It helps us better serve our clients, meet their bookkeeping needs, and enhance their growth strategies. That’s why we’ll be attending the QuickBooks Connect 2017 conference in San Jose between November 15 and 17.

As we’re gearing up for the event, we’ve highlighted some of the panels we’re most looking forward to and shared a few details on each. Check them out below, and if you’ll be at the conference, we’d love to meet you!

1. What’s New in QuickBooks Online

Although the keynote speech will touch on the latest developments with QBO, this panel will really dive into what QBO has to offer now. Featuring QBO product managers and live product demonstrations, this panel will teach “tips on how to use the new features to save time and money!” Managers will also take questions from the crowd. We’re excited to learn about (and test) all the great features that will help us be even more efficient and effective in our remote bookkeeping services.

2. Staying Passionate, Shark Tank Entrepreneurs Share Their Secrets to Help You Drive Your Business Forward

Sometimes the best insights and advice come from people who have already been through trials of success and failure. We look forward to hearing these Shark Tank alums (Amy Baxter, MD, Julie Busha, Julie Goldman, and Romy Taormina) share how they “stay passionate in their businesses and offer up their secrets so you can do the same.” In turn, we can share these insights on maintaining positive business momentum and growth with our clients.

3. Small Business Funding Options: 60 minutes of Straight Talk

In this panel, former SBA Regional Administrator Donna Davis will break down critical funding considerations for small businesses, including key financial terms and how to examine various sources of funds. She’ll also “walk through the preparation steps that you can start doing now, and share inside tips to building business credit.” This will help us further our knowledge around the concerns of our small business clients, and the funding options they have available to them.

4. Running your Entire Business with QuickBooks Online: Tips, Tricks and Answers

QBO experts are the masters at leveraging this platform for success. Panel attendees will “learn how to: use shortcuts and tricks, automate reports, automatically categorize bank and credit card downloads, customize invoices, [and] record payments and deposits.” This panel will sharpen our already existing expertise with this tool, and help us improve our cloud-based accounting efficiency in a way that will aid clients in spotting sales trends and other critical data for making important decisions.

5. Practice Pathfinder: Realizing your Value, and Scaling without Making Radical Changes Overall

Every client is unique and has particular financial needs, which are continuously evolving as industries grow and shift over time. Recognizing and maintaining value while balancing these needs in order to scale accordingly is important to how we provide services to meet each client’s needs. Founder of the Upward Spiral Partnership Martin Bissett, will illuminate how to do this “without making radical changes to your strategy, your staff or the core services you offer.” Because we value services that speak to the unique needs of our clients, we’re excited to broaden our perspective on how to help our clients make the best financial decisions for their business while not having to make a drastic shift or radical change to achieve tangible results.

6. Small Business Session - Business Owners Share How They Got Funding To Grow

Where the Shark Tank alums can share motivation from a position of grand success, this panel will get insights from business owners who are just like our clients. They’ll explore how they “navigated the world of small business financing—including what worked and what didn’t, and what they’ll do differently in the future based on what they learned.” Their experiences will reveal pitfalls to avoid and opportunities to capture.

To provide our clients with the best remote bookkeeping and cloud-based accounting services possible, we choose to leverage the best opportunities from the leaders in innovation. By attending the QuickBooks Connect conference this year, we can ensure that we’re providing our clients with the most secure, reliable, and beneficial services possible. We hope to see you there!
